Now that we are all hand washing more frequently many of us are finding out exactly how damaging water, soap and alcohol sanitisers can be to the skin. To help mitigate these issues Lyonsleaf can recommend some great natural products.

Moisturising soap

Lyonsleaf soaps are made with saponified plant oils instead of harsh detergents. Our artisan soaps are made the traditional way using saponified olive oil, coconut oil and shea butter so you can moisturise your hands whilst washing.

Hand Cream

Even the gentlest soap in the world will still dry skin to some extent, so it's a great idea to use a really good hand cream in between hand washing, and we have just the thing. Our Calendula and Marshmallow Balm will soothe, hydrate and soften dry chapped and even cracked skin. Marshmallow root is the finest herb for reviving and softening very dry skin and calendula will soothe quickly. Our Zinc and Calendula Cream also has great soothing properties, and because zinc oxide is very water repellant it will also act as a great barrier cream, preventing further water damaged caused when water penetrates the skins outer protective layer.
