Lyonsleaf Zinc and Calendula Cream contains the same amount of calming Calendula as our original Calendula Cream and our Calendula and Marshmallow Balm. It also contains Zinc Oxide (found in calamine lotion), it is unfragranced and is a nut oil free formulation (although it may contain nut oil traces). Zinc oxide is rumoured to reduce excess sebum production (be aware some people find it drying)
It also forms a breathable, protective and moisture repellent barrier (be warned! - it's so good it wont easily wash off of clothes or cloth nappies).
Made with pure plant oils, beeswax, mineral ingredients (zinc), home grown herbs and nothing else.
Key ingredients: Calendula, Zinc Oxide, Babassu Oil, Beeswax, Borage Oil. 95% organic / wild harvest / mineral
Note - this is not a sterile product and it contains no antimicrobial preservatives. Caution should be exercised around broken skin especially if the immune system is compromised. it should not be used on broken skin of infants under 3 years.
Lyonsleaf products are cruelty free and hand made in the UK, by workers earning a living wage, using ethically sourced ingredients and as little plastic as possible.

We recommend oil cleansing with the Beauty Balm once or twice a day. After cleansing we recommend applying the Zinc and Calendula to the affected area, you can moisturise the rest of your face with it too, or use the Beauty Balm instead. The Zinc seems to reduce sebum production and too much seems to cause dry patches for some people, (this may be why it's helpful to some acne sufferers). There is an element of trial to find the right regime for you - some people just use the zinc during a flare up or occasionally, some use it every day. You can use it more often to calm a flare-up, 6 times a day, but should the skin become dry, reduce or stop use. Do use the Zinc and Calendula Cream very sparingly, it will make the skin appear white if you use too much.
There is certainly anecdotal evidence of people using zinc to calm eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis, but we are concerned about it's drying nature, so we advise proceeding with some caution - Apply to skin as required up to 6 times a day, but should the skin becom dry reduce or stop use. You may find our Calendula and Marshmallow Balm or original Calendula Cream more effective. However this product is a fantastic barrier cream, so it can be used to protect any fragile skin from moisture damage when washing up or bathing, so one way or another, Zinc and Calendula Cream is almost certanly a useful product for sufferers of these conditions.
Apply to babies skin after every change to protect the skin from moisture damage and gently soothe and hydrate.
Apply to skin as required up to 6 times a day - should skin become dry reduce or stop use.
